DOG TRAINER ACADEMY - From puppy development to behavior modification and problem solving, Sac Dog Central's Training Academy offers learning that is broken down into modules in a semi-private learning environment.

This is perfect for the entry level student starting out with little knowledge, or for the seasoned trainer who is wanting to learn how to teach complex concepts and skills, not just behaviors.  All our courses are created from a behavioral standpoint. Client relationships are just as important as the dogs’ well being, if you want to train dogs as a professional, you will most likely want to learn how to address the human client aspect of the equation, and we teach that in our modules too!
What type of dog trainer do you want to be?
If you are a looking at becoming a professional dog trainer, or are already working with dogs, and would like to refine your skill set, then our Shadow Program may be exactly what you are looking for.

At the learning center, we offer a fully functional business model for students to learn in. We work with a wide range of clients and dogs; from the first time dog owner, to the owner who has a behaviorally challenging dog, sports oriented clientele, to dogs meant for disability service and companion work. Offering multiple training options; from foundation puppy classes to specialty courses, we are open to the general public. Approximately 90% of Rebecca’s cases are referrals from local veterinarians, so there is always a variety of case problems available for students to learn from.

Rebecca Brackney, founder of Sac Dog Central, has developed a program that she is very proud of. Rebecca has spent many years developing not only her dog training technique, but also a clear and logical way of communicating and teaching to the client. During the shadow, you will have an opportunity to be hands on with our board and train program, as well as observe multiple private lessons and group sessions. There will also be ample time to review the business end of things if that is something that interests you.

Our program is somewhat customizable and can be tailored to you interests. Throughout the days you visit at the learning center, you will shadow Rebecca while she works with a wide range of dogs throughout each day, learn how she deals with the clients on a day to day basis, during a private intake assessment, and how she manages various behavior issues with the board and train dogs. Shadow students are invited to watch while she conducts various private sessions and group classes.

If you have a more specific area you wish to concentrate on Rebecca has collected a vast learning library of videos, books, and digital materials that are made available to her students while on-
site at no additional cost, Students can choose where they wish to spend their time to gain the most out of their stay. There will also be plenty of time for you to work with Rebecca on your individual training questions and goals, and to learn the secrets behind her success.

Shadows typically run five days, however the length of the program can be adjusted to meet your needs.
The fee for one week is $1,500.00 - Hotel accommodations are nearby and rides will be provided if needed.
If you are interested in learning more about the program, or to schedule your stay please email Rebecca at sacdogcentral@gmailcom
